Cloud Rangers Ltd (“Cloud Rangers”, “we”) handles personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This page explains what we collect through this website and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Details you submit through the contact form: name, email, company, phone and your message.
- Details you submit when booking a meeting: name, email, company, phone, notes and your chosen time.
- Your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
- Messages you send to the website assistant and, if you contact us through an enabled channel, related email or WhatsApp conversation details.
- Standard server logs, including IP address, for security and rate limiting.
How we use it
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, run the meeting you booked, send the newsletter you asked for, and protect the site from abuse. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Website assistant and communications
The website assistant provides general service guidance and may retain the conversation so our team can improve continuity and support a requested follow-up. Do not submit passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information. We only join conversation history across channels after identity is sufficiently verified, and marketing messages require consent or another applicable legal basis. You can request immediate human assistance or withdraw from marketing communications at any time.
Who else sees it
Form and booking messages are delivered through our email provider, and our site is served by our hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside New Zealand. Newsletter addresses may be held in our email marketing platform.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and booking correspondence is retained while it is needed for the relationship and our records, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. We count article views in aggregate — only the article and the date are stored, with no IP address, cookie or device identifier. A one-way hash of your IP address is kept briefly to prevent duplicate counts and form abuse, and is deleted within a day.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@cloudrangers.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
